Stephen M. Sierpina was honored with the Education Hero Award from the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts in 2016.
HAVERHILL, MA, February 09, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stephen M. Sierpina has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Sierpina initially earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from St. Anselm College in 2001 and a Master of Education in educational leadership and management from Fitchburg State University in 2006. He began his career as a teacher before accepting a position as an assistant principal for two years. He further served as the principal for Hunking Middle School in 2009 and the principal for Consentino School in 2010. From 2013 to 2017, Mr. Sierpina was active as a supervising principal for Marsh Grammar School.
In 2017, Mr. Sierpina accepted his current position as the principal for Windham High School. In this present role, he is responsible for about 1,100 students and 120 staff members while overseeing the day-to-day operations, preparing and presenting a budget for the school board and developing the school improvement plan. Moreover, Mr. Sierpina has created a digital learning center to help alleviate a substitute teacher shortage and created several leadership teams and established an early college and dual enrollment program with the local community college that includes opportunities for international study.
In recognition for his stellar efforts, Mr. Sierpina was honored with the Education Hero Award from the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts in 2016. As part of his dedication to his field, he is a member of the American Secondary School Association of Principals, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the Granite State Leadership Academy. He was initially inspired to become an educator by his parents, who themselves were teachers. Mr. Sierpina hopes to earn a doctorate in education and become a superintendent.
