Mr. Marin initially earned a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in microbiology from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico in 1993. Following his graduation, he began his career as a safety auditor for Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson and Johnson company, in 1994. At the same time, Mr. Marin was also working as an environmental, health and safety coordinator for Pharma-Bio Serv from 1999 to 2004.
In 2000, Mr. Marin accepted a position as an environmental, health and safety specialist for Merck Sharp and Dohme. During his time with Merck Sharp and Dohme, he was honored with an Employee of Excellence Award in 2012 and 2013. Mr. Marin also served as an environmental, health and safety coordinator PR-5 for Eli Lilly and Company in 2004.
From 2014 to 2019, Mr. Marin was appointed as the environmental, health and safety manager for CP Kelco. Since 2019, he has excelled as the associate director of environmental, health, safety and security for Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc. In this present role, Mr. Marin ensures the environmental compliance of the aforementioned company.
As part of his dedication to his field, Mr. Marin is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals, the Industrial Environmental Association of California and AIHA. A self-professed passionate person for his work, he decided to pursue a career in manufacturing because he considers preserving the environment as one of the most important things he could do for the industry.
