Mr. Akator earned a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Phoenix in 2010 and went on to attain a Master of Science in criminal justice administration from the same institution in 2012. He earned a postgraduate certification in a paralegal program from Pima Community College in 2014 and completed graduate studies in profit and loss management from the University of Arizona in 2015.
A martial arts instructor for 25 years and an educator for 25 years, Mr. Akator has found success in business. After immigrating to the United States from Ghana, he started working as the general manager for Pleasant Palms in 2004. He then worked as a general manager and care director for The Villas at La Canada in 2012. In his present roles, Mr. Akator oversees his employees virtually and meets with the managers for strategic planning and implementation across his businesses. Additionally, he manages his martial arts training and fitness businesses, mentoring and coaching entrepreneurship, education, sports and other areas. In recognition for his expertise in education and martial arts, he was a Fin-weight champion in taekwondo for eight years while living in Ghana. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in adult and continuing education and teaching at Grand Canyon University.
