BENTON, MO, February 11, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bradley J. Kolwyck, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Kolwyck earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004 and went on to attain an alternative certification from the same institution in 2010. He then earned a Master of Education in educational leadership and administration from Arkansas State University in 2012 and finally a Doctor of Philosophy in the same field from Southern Illinois University in 2020. Dr. Kolwyck is certified as a principal for grades K–8, 7–12 and superintendent preschool–12 in Missouri and Illinois.
Dr. Kolwyck started his career as a mathematics teacher for the New Madrid County R-1 School District in 2008 and was promoted to assistant principal in 2012. He was then appointed as district safety coordinator in 2013 and started working as a grant writer for the district in 2010, holding the latter post until 2018. At the same time, he also served as the executive director for the New Madrid County R-1 School District Education Foundation. Dr. Kolwyck started as a principal for the New Madrid County R-1 Schools in 2012 as well as federal programs coordinator from 2016 to 2018. Since 2018, he has worked as the principal for Macks Creek High School and accepted the position of superintendent for the Scott County R-IV School District in 2021.
In his present role, Dr. Kolwyck focuses on keeping the organization progressing positively, making the best decisions for students and giving them the best opportunity to succeed through educational experiences. He ensures staff and students are all contributing their best efforts while maintaining a positive culture and providing the best facilities and programs. As part of his dedication to his field, Dr. Kolwyck is a member of the Missouri Association of School Administrators and the Missouri Association of Rural Education.
Dr. Kolwyck was inspired to become involved in his profession out of his desire to serve others. He started in the private sector, but realized he could make a more positive impact in education. He plans to continue working in his position with the goal of leading his organization to become the school of choice in the region.
