Larry Quinn has been in and out of the music business for more than 50 years. He is a singer, songwriter and producer of original compositions as well as those of other recording artists. He began his music career as the lead singer and primary songwriter of the band Tree Fox, which released their debut single nationwide in 1977 through AMG Records of Cincinnati; it garnered a significant following throughout the New York Capital region. In 1979 Tree Fox released a single nationwide on Fraternity Records of Cincinnati. Tree Fox also recorded an album with Fraternity Records called "Rough Road."
During the 1980s, Mr. Quinn found further success as a producer for a local recording band at his former record label, Double L Records. In 2019, Mr. Quinn formed the Larry Quinn Band and has since begun recording original music through Third Son Records, which he established in 2011. His most recent album is "Larry Quinn Band Hits" and his tunes can be heard on FM channels in St. Paul, St. Louis, Memphis, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, among others.
Alongside his success as a musician and producer, Mr. Quinn was the clerk for the Rensselaer County Legislature and the city clerk for the city of Troy, New York. He also worked for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance and served as a board member for the Troy Housing Authority for 13 years. During this period of his career, he also raised four children and attended college part-time for 10 years, ultimately receiving a bachelor's degree.
In addition to the timeless nature of his music, Mr. Quinn attributes a great deal of his success to his consistent pursuit of administrative roles throughout his career.
