Eventually, Mr. Harris left Mr. Grantham's team when he was confident enough to become an individual agent.
Born and raised in the hospitality and tourism industry in New Orleans, Mr. Harris grew up fishing, working on charter boats and diving. Eventually, he worked as a deckhand and helped captain during his time spent on the water with tourists. He was subsequently presented with an opportunity to purchase one of the oldest restaurants in town, which he successfully managed for several years. Having garnered superb customer relations experience during those years, Mr. Harris was well positioned to transition toward selling homes.
A dedicated advocate on behalf of his community, Mr. Harris has been involved with numerous disaster relief efforts in regions that have been ravaged by floods, hurricanes and tornadoes, including Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was recognized and contacted through Remax National corporate office to help lead and be the contact person for the disaster relief efforts in the southern states, and has successfully delivered over 12,000 meals, water and supplies to affected families. Additionally, he was named as the master coordinator by his church for his disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Ida, Michael and Sally. Mr. Harris has contributed to various charitable organizations as well, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Children's Miracle Network and Kairos Prison Ministry. Working extensively with the ministry, he has notably ministered on behalf of 10 death row inmates since 2019.
Mr. Harris completed two years of college coursework toward a degree in nursing. He is a Baldwin County Certified Specialist and holds a real estate license in the state of Alabama. As a testament to his professional success, Mr. Harris has been honored with numerous accolades, including a Cooperative Spirit Award and a Chairman Award from RE/MAX. He was also recognized as a Top Agent and Top Producer numerous times and was featured in Top Agent Magazine.
