DENVER, CO, February 14, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sara Katherine Parker, more commonly known as Kat, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from the University of Colorado at Denver, Ms. Parker obtained a Master of Arts in early childhood special education from the aforementioned university in 2006. She began her career working in a museum before facilitating art programs for children in local libraries. Ms. Parker was also active as a facilitator for young women with disabilities.
Ms. Parker further served as a kindergarten and general education teacher for Denver Public Schools for 15 years. Since 2011, she has excelled as an early childhood special educator for Denver Public Schools. Ms. Parker was also credited as a photographer for "Kids Explore America's Hispanic Heritage" in 1990.
Ms. Parker has been presented with several awards during her career, including Second Prize in a photo contest at the Denver County Fair. She was additionally recognized for her stellar volunteer work in immigrant rights by the First Unitarian Society of Denver. Ms. Parker maintains her affiliation with the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Council for Exceptional Children.
Raised in a family of teachers, Ms. Parker realized education was her true calling after graduating with her bachelor's degree. She loves working with young children, having family connections and witnessing her students grow. While she is considering retirement in the near future, Ms. Parker would like to continue conducting small projects related to child sciences and foreign languages.
