ANNAPOLIS, MD, February 14, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Curtis Moore has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. After enlisting in the U.S. Army at the age of 19, Mr. Moore completed eight weeks of basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey, before traveling to Fort Ord, California, for infantry training. He was subsequently recruited for the Special Operations Forces, better known as the Green Berets. He was a member of A-Team. "A-Team" consists of 12 Special Forces Soldiers: 2 officers and 10 sergeants all qualified as a paratrooper. Each of which had two jobs. His was light weapons and engineering. Eventually choosing to reorient his skills toward engineering, he took on the responsibility of building various fortifications or maintaining water supplies and basic sanitation. After departing from the military, Mr. Moore became a police officer on 10/25/68.
His first assignment after the Police Academy was the T P F better known as Tactical Police Force. They worked 6 PM to 2 AM 4 days on 2 days off. They only worked in the high crime parts of New York City. Officer Moore worked for 10 years in the T P F. From there, he went to the 72 Precinct in Brooklyn and he stayed there only one year before going to the 103 Precinct in Queens. Officer Moore enjoyed his time in the 103; it was close to home and just enough crime to have to look for it and not find just it walking a post or riding in a patrol car.
Officer Moore was promoted to Sergeant Moore and assigned to the 77 Precinct, which is in Brooklyn. Going to the 77 Precinct was a homecoming; he was born in the 77 Precinct in 1946. Sergeant Moore enjoyed working in the 77 Precinct. He related to the people and they related to him. It was a nice place to work. Sergeant Moore retired from the 77 Precinct on 10/31/88 after 20 years and 6 days with the New York City Police Department.
During 1989 Mr. Moore began serving as a private investigator, and maintains that role into the present as the head of Curtis Moore Investigation. In conjunction with his work in the field, he dedicates himself to others as a supporter of the Legal Defense Fund. An expert in his field, Mr. Moore holds license as a Private Investigator in the State of New York and Private Detective in the State of Maryland, as well as a bachelor's degree in insurance and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the City University of New York.
Mr. Moore has been a licensed Real Estate Broker, Insurance Broker and Insurance Adjuster in the State of New York.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Moore is most proud to have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, and of his performance as a private investigator.
