During this period, Dr. Freedman additionally served as the Chief Medical Officer of Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston and the Chairperson of the Clinical Leadership Committee within the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Bureau of Hospitals.
In 2015, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health honored the success of Dr. Freedman's opioid treatment clinic at the aforementioned Boston-based hospital with a Performance Recognition Award. He is extremely proud to have established a pioneering Hepatitis C clinic in 2002 that significantly impacted the medical community's general perception of opioid abuse.
