PALMERTON, PA, February 15, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert D. Reinhart, MD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Reinhart earned a degree in biochemistry from The Pennsylvania State University in 1988 and went on to attain a Doctor of Medicine from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1992. He then undertook an internship at St. Luke's Hospital in 1992, after which he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center from 1993 to 1997. He was named chief resident in 1997. Following this, he became a fellow in vascular and interventional radiology at Harvard Medical School.
Following graduation from fellowship, Dr. Reinhart started his career as an interventional radiologist at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, Louisiana. He moved to Pennsylvania and joined Progressive Physician Associates in 2005. He has practiced as an interventional radiologist with St. Luke's University Health Network, the Foundation Radiology Group, and Medical Imaging of Lehigh Valley. Currently, Dr. Reinhart is a practicing interventional radiologist at St. Luke's University Health Network. He is also the vice president for medical affairs at the St. Luke's University Health Network, Miner's campus, a post he has held since 2020.
Certified by the American Board of Radiology with a subspecialty in vascular and interventional radiology, Dr. Reinhart is responsible for coordinating and performing all interventional procedures at two of St. Luke's 12 hospitals. As part of his dedication to his field, Dr. Reinhart is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America and the American Roentgen Ray Society.
Dr. Reinhart notes Dr. Charles Smith, a pediatrician, as his original inspiration to become a physician, and Bob Jeffrey, an interventional radiologist, as his inspiration to join the specialty. He wanted to help people with their problems, not just the patients but also the doctors who are working to treat them. Having accomplished much in his career, Dr. Reinhart plans to transition to his retirement and to train a replacement to take over his position and continue to build the hospital's positive reputation.
