Ms. Semple began her career as a nurse in the intensive care unit at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan in 1974. She subsequently worked as a nurse in intensive care, coronary care and multi-organ transplants at various hospitals prior to being recruited as a casual clinic instructor at Fanshawe College in 1990. Ms. Semple additionally garnered years of experience as a registered nurse at a number of hospitals in the United States and Canada.
In 1999, Ms. Semple was recruited as a pharmaceutical research nurse for Drake Medox in Sydney, Australia. For 15 years thereafter, she excelled as a clinical consultant and care manager for United Healthcare. Moreover, Ms. Semple has served as a volunteer nurse for the American Embassy in Algeria. She is also affiliated with the American Critical Care Association.
