Dr. C. Steve Schramm is proud to have been nominated for the Physician Category of the Georgia Health Care Heroes Award.
ATLANTA, GA, February 21, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- C. Steve Schramm has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Eminently qualified as a physician, Dr. Schramm bears considerable expertise in the fields of occupational medicine and family practice. He has a specialty in preventive health and monitoring various chronic diseases, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. However, Dr. Schramm has a special interest in the aging brain, obesity, sports injuries and migraines.
Dr. Schramm has established himself as a sought-after family physician and practice partner at the Family Practice Center in Atlanta. Prior, He also found success at the Atlanta Occupational Center from 1987 to 2001 and the Atlanta Wellness Center between 1987 and 1994. Dr. Schramm is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, as well as the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Schramm obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard College in 1980, graduating with magna cum laude honors. Throughout the course of his studies at Harvard, he was proud to have secured his name on the dean's list for all four years. He later earned a Doctor of Medicine from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Thereafter, Dr. Schramm completed his residency at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, between 1984 and 1987. During this time, he notably rose to the position of Chief Resident.
Dr. Schramm has long been interested in pursuing a career in medicine. His father was a chemical engineer and, as a result, he was raised with a considerable background in science. He had a passion for springboard diving from age 7, competing nationally before college and also for the Harvard Varsity Swim Team. He always assumed that he would either become a chemical engineer like his father, or a collegiate diving coach. However, Dr. Schramm came to realize that he could utilize his knowledge of science and combine his passions to become a medical coach.
Dr. Schramm is proud to have been nominated for the Physician Category of the Georgia Health Care Heroes Award. Moreover, he is grateful to participate in an annual charity for American veterans with the Northpoint Community Church. Looking toward the future, Dr. Schramm aims to continue practicing family medicine.
