Ms. Paschal has been a mathematics teacher at San Angelo Independent School District's Lake View High School in San Angelo, Texas, since 1980. Teaching algebra and pre-calculus education to 11th and 12th grade students, she is passionate about what she does every day in the classroom. To better serve her district, Ms. Paschal is also a coach and a member of the mathematics team. Furthermore, she is a coordinator for the University Interscholastic League at her high school. She notably worked as a teacher's aide for the district for seven years before acquiring her teaching position.
In light of her tenure, Ms. Paschal is now honored to be working alongside several of her former students. In fact, the new appraiser who will be evaluating her for the 2021-2022 school year is a former student whom she taught during the school year of 2000-2001. The school football coach and all his staff members were also former students during 2008.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Paschal has served as an advisor for several industry-related books. She was also a book reviewer for Holt Publishers for the textbook, titled "Algebra II." Locally involved, Ms. Paschal enjoys participating with various charitable organizations. She is also active with events through her church.
Ms. Paschal graduated from Angelo State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics in 1980. She is a professional member of the Texas Mathematics and Science Coaches Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

She was also named to the International Association of Top Professionals' Educator Hall of Fame in 2019 for her expertise in algebra and pre-calculus education and was selected to be featured among its Top 50 Fearless Leaders list. Other honors include recognition as a Top Educator of the Year for 2017 and 2019 by the International Association of Top Professionals, being named Teacher of the Year in 2000 and 2014, and receiving a VIP of the Year Award for 2011-2012. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Paschal has been included in the 71st and 72nd editions of Who's Who in America. She attributes much of her success to the ongoing support she has received from her fellow high school teachers over the years.
