Prior to establishing RSV Welder Repair Inc, Mr. Vanier worked as a service technician for Purity Cylinder Gases. He also gained recognition with Integrated Packaging Systems, a leading organization that designs and manufactures packaging machinery for the pharmaceutical industry. Serving as a project manager and sales professional for the aforementioned organization, Mr. Vanier was fortunate to be taken under the wing of Jack Sabel, who was influential in his success.
Mr. Vanier initially learned welding during his youth when he moved to Grand Rapids, MI. He was born and raised on Mackinac Island, MI, a small historic island with no motor vehicles, thus all transportation is done with horse and buggy and bicycle. He learned about business on Mackinac Island where his father repaired bicycles. There, the owners of the movie theatre, Ruth and Jack Loeks, gave his father the opportunity to have a better life in Grand Rapids where he ran his movie theater business. Ruth Loeks became Mr. Vanier's private tutor and for 39 years they had a wonderful relationship. Ms. Loeks took the role of mother when Mr. Vanier's mother passed away. Mr. Vanier later worked for Jack Zabel, of Ideas in Motion, who took him under his wing. Mr. Zabel had wonderful values and morals which was the reason Mr. Vanier and he "clicked." Mr. Vanier is grateful to have found two great mentors from whom he learned the importance of customer service and other important aspects of being a successful, trustworthy and reliable business man.
Among his many contributions to the field, Mr. Vanier proudly secured three U.S. patents for a welding apparatus that eliminates the need to wear welding helmets, preventing people from breathing in toxic fumes. He had previously. changed and designed specialized equipment for clients. Recognized and contracted by a global organization to improve upon its technology, he believes this apparatus will be a game changer in the welding industry. In the coming years, Mr. Vanier hopes to remain a leader in the industry while also becoming more involved in consulting work to offer expert advice to others in the field.
