SAN ANTONIO, TX, February 22, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Patricia Chung has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Driven to pursue a career in service to others, Dr. Chung earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences from the University of California Riverside in 1993. Subsequently, she obtained a Doctor of Medicine from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles and completed a family medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Upon completion of her residency, she began her career as a staff physician with Kaiser Permanente. Over the years, Dr. Chung gained valuable expertise with a number of military hospitals, including the Corpus Christi Naval Hospital, the Brooke Army Medical Center, the McWethy Troop Medical Clinic, the Warrior Primary Care Clinic and the SPC Taylor J. Burk Health Clinic.
Dr. Chung currently excels as a physician with WellMed and North Bexar VA Clinic. In order to remain aware of changes in the field, she has been affiliated with several organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians. Additionally, Dr. Chung has dedicated herself to her community through UCLA Health Science Programs, the Robert F. Kennedy Institute's Mentor Program and the Garfield Medical Center, where she served as a junior volunteer for 600 hours.
In light of her outstanding achievements, Dr. Chung has been honored on many occasions, having been presented with Certificates of Appreciation from the Brooke Army Medical Center as well as Colonels Campbell and Moore. She also received recognition for five years of service to the U.S. Government, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and accepted the Toshiaki Hasegawa scholarship, the Jessica E. Jenkins scholarship and the Ana & Gordon Watkins scholarship. Although her career has been filled with highlights, she is incredibly proud of thinking outside of the box to help patients achieve their goals. In the near future, Dr. Chung intends to continue caring for her patients.
