With an interest in science and a personable personality, Dr. Faulx made a natural decision to seek a career in medicine. He initially pursued a formal education at the Pennsylvania State University, at which he obtained a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. He later earned a Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Case Western Medical Center.
Dr. Faulx began his career as a clinical research fellow of adult cardiovascular diseases at Case Western Medical Center. Soon thereafter, he garnered experience in the field as an associate program director of the Cleveland Clinic's internal medicine residency program as well as a cardiologist at the Miller Family Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute and the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute.
Having been active as an assistant professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University from 2013 to 2021, Dr. Faulx was recently promoted to the title of associate professor of medicine for the aforementioned organization. His area of expertise is in invasive non-interventional cardiology. In his current role as a cardiologist, he performs diagnostic invasive procedures, echocardiography and critical care. He coordinates students' lectures and is presently conducting clinical research related to sleep apnea and heart disease.
A trusted voice in his field, Dr. Faulx has been appointed as a committee member of the American College of Cardiology and a trustee of the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. Moreover, he was recruited to edit a popular book for medical students called "Case Files Cardiology," which he credits as the highlight of his career. Notably, he has been distinguished amongst the Best Doctors in America by Teladoc Health and Best Doctors by Cleveland Magazine. Likewise, he accepted a Distinguished Teacher Award and was recognized as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
