As part of her service in the field, Dr. Johnson-Blake conducts an individual, eight-session time management coaching program. She also offers weekly time management tips every Tuesday on social media. The best-selling author of "52 Time Management H.A.C.K.S. (Hacking Actions to Conquer and Kick Time Setbacks)." Dr. Johnson-Blake also published "Managing Time on Purpose," and released "Being the Best You: Intentional Journaling and Planning to Take Back Your Time." She has collaborated with other authors, "Women Everywhere Level Up and Lead," "K.I.S.S. Destiny Fears Goodbye," and "Top 10 Steps to a Productive Year: A Journal to Produce the Life You Deserve."
In addition to overseeing her consulting business, Dr. Johnson-Blake has maintained involvement as a corporate trainer at West Georgia Technical College since 2017. She also became the dissertation chair at Concordia University in 2020, through which she provides assistance for the development of doctoral candidates' research projects, specifically those that relate to philosophical, paradigmatic and theoretical topics. Dr. Johnson-Blake notably spent many years in academia serving in several positions, beginning in 2003, as the director of continuing education at Atlanta Technical College from 2011-2016, and later as an award-winning assistant professor, research chair and subject matter expert on servant leadership at Liberty University. Additionally, she garnered seven years of expertise with the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund as an executive administrator, beginning in 1996.
As part of her civic commitments, Dr. Johnson-Blake has been a chamber diplomat for the Douglas County Chamber and a board member for Beyond the Front Porch since 2017. She is a past president of the Little Springs High School Parent Teacher Student Association and a former mentor for Cool Girls Inc. Among Dr. Johnson-Blake's professional memberships, she is active as an ambassador and past president of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA). She is a member of the Hospital Authority Board of Douglas County and Wellstar Douglas Hospital Regional Health Board. She serves on the executive council of the Georgia Association for Women in Higher Education (GAWHE). Also, she is a member of the Georgia Continuing Education Association.
Dr. Johnson-Blake received a Bachelor of Arts in political science at Old Dominion University in 1985. She later acquired a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in public management at Troy University in 2001 and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership at the University of Phoenix in 2010. She is also certified as a time management coach, life coach, and in diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Additionally, Dr. Johnson-Blake holds a member badge through the International Coaching Federation.
In light of her achievements, Dr. Johnson-Black has been bestowed with a multitude of accolades, including recognition as the 2021 American Business Woman of the ABWA. The organization also named her as a 2021 Top Ten. Other honors to her credit include a Shining Star Award from the Junior League of Douglas County in 2021, a Women on the Move Collaborator Award from the Business Women Empowerment Project in 2020, and a Spirit Award from the Douglas County Chamber in 2019. In accounting for her success, Dr. Johnson-Blake credits her faith, as well as to her servant leadership approach to life and business.
