COLUMBIA, SC, March 02, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sam C. Moses, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Moses earned a Bachelor of Arts in German language studies from the University of South Carolina in 1994 and went on to attain a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1998. He also received an International Master of Business Administration from the Moore School of Business during the same year. Since then, Mr. Moses was admitted to the bar in South Carolina and earned certification as an international trade specialist from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Mr. Moses began his career as a marketing intern for Colgate Palmolive GmbH in 1996 and went on to attain a fellowship with Robert Bosch Foundation in 2002. During this time, from 1998 to 2003, he worked as an international trade manager for European, African and Middle Eastern markets for the South Carolina Department of Commerce, assisting South Carolina manufacturing business to access global export markets. In 2003, he served as a project manager working with foreign direct investment (FDI) projects considering South Carolina as a location for manufacturing and distribution projects which ultimately led to his appointment by the state's Secretary of Commerce to serve as the Managing Director of the State of South Carolina European Office based in Munich, Germany. Mr. Moses served in that capacity from 2004 – 2007 after which he joined Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP, one of the largest law firms in the Southeast United States and which has a substantial history in working with global manufacturing businesses. Mr. Moses serves as a partner in the firm and co-chairs the firm's Manufacturing & Distribution Industry Team that supports the firm's industrial clients.
In his present role, Mr. Moses represents global manufacturing companies, including foreign manufacturing companies who are doing business in the United States. He assists with FDI projects in the U.S., such as coordinating various industry site selection projects, conducting multi-state incentives and industrial real estate negotiations, and advising on establishing sound corporate legal structures for such clients. Mr. Moses serves as outside general counsel to many subsidiaries of foreign owned business from around the world, including from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
In recognition for his work, Mr. Moses was bestowed with an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell in several business and corporate law categories. He was also named as one of the Best Lawyers in America in Economic Development Law from 2020 to 2022 and was Columbia Business Monthly's Top Attorney in International Law between 2018 and 2019. As part of his dedication to his field, Mr. Moses is a member of several international professional institutions and has served in various leadership capacities with such organizations, including serving as a board director for the South Carolina I-77 Alliance, co-founder of the Global Carolina Connections Conference and as a board director of the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern United States.
Hailing from a family of lawyers, Mr. Moses was exposed to the profession at a young age and resolved to become an international business lawyer. Looking toward the future, he plans to expand his company's international initiatives, with a heavy focus on developing the firm's reputation as the most experienced economic development practice in the U.S. for FDI industrial projects. As part of his plan to accomplish this, he is leading a team of colleagues to access new developing markets for the company, including more engagement with China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Additionally, Mr. Moses is a partner in a well-established craft brewery in his hometown called Bierkeller Brewing Company, which he hopes to expand further in the coming years.
