She obtained a bachelor's degree in biology from the Johns Hopkins University and a Doctor of Medicine from the SUNY Upstate Medical University. She subsequently completed a residency at the Albany Medical Center. Inspired by her adolescents with diverse backgrounds, Dr. Jacobs refined her skills through a fellowship in adolescent medicine at the Strong Memorial Hospital.

With expertise in general pediatrics and adolescent medicine, she works with patients from newborns to patients in their twenties and provides routine care, acute care visits, chronic condition management, asthma and mental health needs. Passionate about the wellbeing of adolescents and young women, she dedicates her time to advocate for the youth and women in Rochester, earning the title of Friend of Youth. Likewise, Dr. Jacobs served as the medical director of a teen center at a local health center.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Jacobs accrued professional experience as a physician with the Rochester General Pediatric Associates and at the Rochester Institute of Technology Student Health Center. A trusted voice in her field, she has contributed to published book chapters about dysmenorrhea and premenstrual syndrome to a pediatric clinical book, in addition to having written extensively on teenage motherhood and COVID-19 community safety precautions. As a testament to her inimitable work, Dr. Jacobs has garnered numerous positive reviews from patients as well as recognition from her church and a health organization.
As for her proudest accomplishment, Dr. Jacobs relishes being in a profession wherein she is able to make a difference in people's lives. She loves to help them by combining her love for comedy with health care, providing her patients with a comforting experience. Moreover, she is incredibly proud of being able to make a difference in the lives of her patients. With her two daughters as her role model, Dr. Jacobs intends to establish a nonprofit entity that advocates for special education and health care rights in the near future, having been active as a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates Inc. for a number of years.
