As a hospital patient, Ms. Rubin's exposure to health care providers inspired her to pursue a career in the profession. She obtained associate's and bachelor's degrees in nursing from Brookdale Community College and Chamberlain University, respectively. In 2016, Ms. Rubin earned a Master of Science in Nursing in family nursing practice from Monmouth University.
After garnering extensive experience as a student nurse practitioner in various fields, including gynecologic oncology, Ms. Rubin accepted a position as a nurse practitioner for Clare Medical of New Jersey in 2017. A registered nurse and certified family nurse practitioner, she has been certified in basic life support by the American Heart Association and licensed as an intravenous therapist. Earlier in her career, Ms. Rubin garnered valuable expertise as a school nurse and a home care nurse as well as in an outpatient pediatric setting.
Since 2017, Ms. Rubin has found success as an advanced practice nurse with the Barnabas Health Medical Group Westpark Pediatrics, an organization which provides primary home care for pediatric patients. In this role, she provides patient assessment and patient care, treating up to 30 patients per day. As for her most significant accomplishment thus far, she cites her ability to assist and help her patients as well as striving to always be there for them as a healthcare provider. Additionally, Ms. Rubin's goal as a provider is to help people with mental health conditions receive the appropriate help that they require.
Ms. Rubin is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She attributes her success to her drive for excellence, her resilience, her willingness to learn and her mentors in the healthcare field. In the coming years, Mr. Rubin hopes to continue to advance in her career and receive post master's certification or Ph.D. in a subspecialty area.
