Sandhya "Sandy" Padala was honored with several Female Entrepreneur Awards via local newspapers for the success of her school.
HARTLAND, WI, March 09, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandhya "Sandy" Padala has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Padala is a talented software engineer and the Chief Executive Officer of Rex Academy. Established in 2014, Rex Academy began by teaching a small number of students about the basics of computer science. Three years later, Ms. Padala implemented various after-school programs and summer camps. Likewise, in 2019, she began offering online courses to students in the areas of computer programming and cyber security.
Designed to prepare students for careers in the computer science field, the curriculum at Rex Academy offers projects that allow for individual experiences that are both interesting and educational. Notably all of her students have achieved a pass rate on the AP computer science exam. They have also learned how to build applications in less than three hours and how to build a full website in one week during summer camp. Recently, Ms. Padala created her own podcast, through which she aims to begin interviewing key players in the K-12 computer science education space.
Leading a long and successful career in the engineering industry, Ms. Padala worked as an enterprise architect for Miraca Life Sciences from 2016 to 2017. Among other noteworthy positions, she was the technology design director for Harley-Davidson Motor Company, through which she was responsible for the automation and building of the organization's bikes. Ms. Padala has also held roles with Brady Corporation, Lucent Technologies and Eastman Kodak, dating back to 1999.
A community leader, Ms. Padala has been involved as a board member for her local YMCA and the Wisconsin Technology Council. Additionally, she served in a similar capacity for the Coppell Chamber of Commerce, and was an advisory board member for the eighth-grade computer-programming course at Coppell Independent School District. Ms. Padala also contributed financially to the Free COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit.
Ms. Padala prepared for her career in software engineering by earning a bachelor's degree in electronics and telecommunications at Osmania University in India in 1998. She subsequently transferred to the University of Toledo, where she acquired a Master of Science in computer engineering in 1999. During the course of her subsequent career, Ms. Padala was honored with several Female Entrepreneur Awards via local newspapers for the success of her school.
Supporting her career, Ms. Padala has been a prominent member of the Dallas Entrepreneur Center, where she served as a DEC ambassador from 2015 to 2016. She is also a member of the National Small Business Association, where she has been active on the economic development issue committee, the small business technology council, and the leadership advisory board since 2019.
