Dr. Obielosi was ordained a Catholic Priest in 1996 and went on to attain a Licentiate in Scripture in Biblical exegesis from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in 2004. He earned a diploma in German language studies and literature from Jugendheim, as well as a degree in Jewish religious studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Furthermore, Dr. Obielosi attained a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical theology from Pontifical Gregorian University in 2007. Dr. Obielosi further earned a master's degree in school leadership from St. John's University, New York, USA in 2008. Since 1996, he has served as a Catholic priest.
Dr. Obielosi began his career teaching integrated science, special mathematics and biology at All Hallows Seminary for his junior apostolic work in 1986. He also worked as the personal secretary to the then-rector, Msgr. P.O. Achebe. He continued his career as a lecturer of New Testament studies in Spanish language at the Pastoral Institute of the Diocese of Brooklyn, USA in 2008. When he returned to Nigeria in 2009, he lectured for the department of religion of the Nwafor Orizu College of Education in Nigeria from 2009 to 2011. Also, since 2009, has been the pioneer Rector for Holy Family Youth Village, Amansea Awka, Nigeria. Since 2012, Dr. Obielosi has also served as a lecturer of Biblical Greek for John Paul II Major Seminary. Currently, he is a senior lecturer in the department of religion and human relations for Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. He has authored many books including: Servant of God in John; Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Grammar for Beginners; Introduction to Biblical Greek for Beginners; The New Testament Background and over fifty journal articles.
In accounting for his success, Dr. Obielosi credits his deep and abiding Christian faith, as well as his parents for their unyielding support. Looking toward the future, he plans to continue striving for improvement and challenging himself in the field. He is polyglottic and speaks English, Spanish, Italian and German. Additionally, Dr. Obielosi aspires to become a professor and write additional books.
