Mr. Lewis is a tenured compliance manager who founded SRL Enterprises in New Jersey in 2020 as the President and Managing Member. An industry leader, he focuses on contract compliance, diversity program development, certification, and community outreach by helping companies and agencies meet and exceed diversity and inclusion goals in the construction industry that significantly affect their bottom line.
Excelling in supplier diversity compliance, Mr. Lewis provides cost-effective, comprehensive plans that include diversity goals and participation, on-site interviews and compliance training sessions to help these businesses gain better performance from their employees in addition to overall growth. Noting that because most companies do not maintain a diverse workforce and often struggle in adhering to federal regulations, Mr. Lewis strategically looks at all areas of his clients' business so that he can systematically change and improve results.
SRL Enterprises, which was named after Mr. Lewis' daughter, Savannah Rose Lewis, was founded during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic after experiencing a hiatus from his employer. Eager to continue earning a living, he began reaching out to companies that could leverage his talents as a contractor. Garnering tremendous success over the past two years, Mr. Lewis works with clients from across four different states. Setting his sights high, he aims to become recognized as a national organization in the very near future. He also hopes to establish regional bridging education programs that extend from the time that a person gets certified to the time they obtain their first contract with the assistance of his wife, Rachael, who is the company's Director of Marketing and Business Development.
Mr. Lewis began his career in 2000 as a Certification Officer for New Jersey Transit Corporation. He subsequently became the owner of S.R. Management Services LLC and SRP Enterprises. Among other positions, Mr. Lewis was active as the Certification Manager for the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, a Business Development Representative on behalf of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and a Senior Contract Compliance Officer for KKCS.
A Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar, Mr. Lewis graduated from Seton Hall University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1999. He subsequently obtained a Transportation Worker Identification Credential from the Transportation Security Administration. Moreover, Mr. Lewis completed the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise/Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise mandatory certification training through the Federal Aviation Administration, a construction safety and health course through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the B2Gnow training experience.
To support his professional goals, Mr. Lewis is a member of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials. He is also a charter member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.'s Alpha Nu Alpha Chapter. In 2021, his organization was honored as a Top Ten Emerging Diversity Inclusion Company by HR Tech Outlook. Mr. Lewis was also featured on the cover of the HR Tech Outlook's Diversity and Inclusion edition in September 2021.
