Since 2021, Jennifer Hadjar has excelled as a director of nursing for the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

Mrs. Hadjar earned an Associate of Science in biology from the University of Florida in 2002 and an Associate of Science in registered nursing from Norwalk Community College in 2011. She then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 and a Master of Science in Nursing in 2016 from the University of Central Florida. She is also an oncology certified nurse from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.
Mrs. Hadjar began her career as a clinical assistant for Stamford Health in 2009 and continued as a new graduate nurse promoted to a clinical coordinator in 2011. In 2013, she became a staff nurse at Florida Hospital and advanced to become an assistant nurse manager in 2015. She found further success as a clinical nurse manager for the Cancer Institute of Florida in 2018 and the clinical program manager of the multiple myeloma program at Mount Sinai Health System from 2017 to 2018. She also worked as a progressive nurse leader for Mount Sinai Hospital from 2018 to 2021. Since 2021, she has excelled as a director of nursing for the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
In her present role, Mrs. Hadjar is responsible for pediatric and malignant hematology patients. She oversees operations and works on education, policies and best practices for the institute. She also helps improve patient experiences by providing the best care through fostering the professional growth of nurses, teaching as a clinical instructor. Priding herself on her strong work ethic, she links nursing with teaching as rewarding commitments in her life.
Mrs. Hadjar was inspired to become a nurse by her grandmother, who was a nurse herself. She would read nursing textbooks aloud, giving Mrs. Hadjar an early exposure to the field and instilling a love for science. She wanted to make a positive impact on patients' lives and decided nursing was the best way to do so. She plans to continue growing her expertise in her position and is pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University with the intention of becoming an expert in nursing leadership.
