BAKERSFIELD, CA, March 15, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nanette Yabiku has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A seasoned, passionate and resourceful leader with years of expertise in professional development, Ms. Yabiku began her career of more than 35 years in education as a teacher with Bakersfield City School District at John C. Fremont Elementary School, where she taught kindergarten, second and third grade. Subsequently, she gained valuable expertise in the field as a teacher for Ramon Garza Elementary School. Ms. Yabiku currently excels with Dr. Juliet Thorner Elementary School.
In her work as an academic coach with Dr. Juliet Thorner Elementary School, Ms. Yabiku coaches teachers, develops curriculum, serves as a special education facilitator working with special education teachers and students, and conducts Team for Student Success meetings with parents and school professionals to determine how to meet the needs of our neediest students. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Yabiku contributes to others as an executive director of the John Maxwell Team. For her professional excellence, she was presented with awards for leadership and accountability through Bakersfield City School District, and received a volunteer award through the American Heart Association.
