She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from the University of Pittsburgh and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Ms. Kaufman has been admitted to practice law before the states of Pennsylvania and West Virginia, in addition to the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Ms. Kaufman began practicing as a trial lawyer in 1989 and worked for a few firms before joining the St. Paul Insurance Company in 1997 where she excelled until 2004. Since 2014, Ms. Kaufman has served as the Chief Trial Counsel of the Law Office of Cheryl Esposito Kaufman of Zurich Insurance Group Ltd.
For her inimitable work, Ms. Kaufman has earned much recognition. She has been the recipient of the KAMP Award from the Zurich Insurance Group Ltd in 2021, as well as the Eric W. Springer Professionalism Award. She attributes much of her success to hard work and excellent mentors. Aside from her primary vocational pursuits, she has acted as a cantor and choir member for the St. Maurice Church since 1992. Looking toward the future, Ms. Kaufman intends to perform more pro bono work and to become involved in senior management positions.
