After working as a substitute teacher for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District for five years, Ms. Godfrey earned a Bachelor of Arts in general studies, with minors in business marketing, English, leadership and cognition, from the University of North Texas in 2005. She serves on the Commission for the Arts in the city of Mansfield, TX; the organization raises money and awards scholarships. It is also in the process of working on a city art plan to use for the next 10 years.
