Nicole Wint is incredibly proud of establishing her own firm in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With a strong desire to help enhance the lives of others, Mrs. Wint decided to become a social worker. She attended St. Hugh's High School for Girls in Jamaica. She then earned a Bachelor of Social Work from The University of the West Indies, Mrs. Wint ventured to Eckerd Youth Alternatives, North Carolina where she worked with youth in a Wilderness Program for close to 2 years. Back in Jamaica, she gained valuable expertise in the field as the deputy director of Jamaica National Children's Home. Mrs. Wint later relocated to South Caicos in the Turks and Caicos Islands and at the time was the only social worker serving the residents. Furthermore, she obtained a Master of Science in psychology from the International University of the Caribbean. Over the years, Mrs. Wint was active as an intern in medical social work at Franciscan St. Clare Hospital and an intern in clinical social work for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Driven to further her knowledge of the field, Mrs. Wint graduated with a Master of Social Work from Simmons University before accepting a position with the Telecare Corporation as a behavioral health professional. Between 2018 and 2019, she also served as a mental health therapist with Consejo Counseling & Referral Service. A seasoned social worker with specialized expertise in mental health therapy and crisis management, Mrs. Wint currently excels as a licensed clinical social worker and owner of Affirm Counseling Services LLC.
In order to remain aware of changes in the field, Mrs. Wint has been affiliated with the Association of Social Work Boards and Kiwanis International, for which she was a project director for her local Circle K chapter. Alongside of her primary responsibilities, she has contributed as a social worker to the Violence Prevention Clinic of the University of the West Indies and as a volunteer counselor for Jamaica AIDS Support. Even though her career has been filled with highlights, she is incredibly proud of establishing her own firm in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mrs. Wint now resides in Peachtree City, GA and aims to expand Affirm Counseling Services LLC and make a difference in the lives of many people.
