Mr. Salau began his career in 1988 with the state electricity company in Nigeria as a pupil programmer. He joined PriceWaterhouse in 1994 and became a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 2005. He was the partner-in-charge (PIC) and Leader for PwC Consulting business in West, Central and East Africa spanning 12 countries. He joined Ernst and Young in 2011 as the partner-in-charge (PIC) and advisory leader for West Africa until March 2017. Since April 2017, he has served as the founder and chief executive officer for AFS Consulting and Automata Associates Ltd. The consulting firm specializes in business and organizational transformation, not only for corporate entities but also for government and nonprofit organizations. In this capacity, they assist businesses hoping to hone their strategies, transition to a digital platform, or implement processes that are more efficient.
Dedicating his success and achievements to the support he received from his wife and children, Mr. Salau is an expert in large-scale technology transformation. Having worked for large firms for more than 20 years, he has observed that many new companies and small businesses often lack reliable access to professional support, and established his consulting firm to accommodate this need. Looking toward the future, Mr. Salau plans to expand the scope of his company to assume international status and serve as a mentor to the leaders who will eventually take his place.
