Tom Foster Hermansader Celebrated for his Dedication to the Fine Arts

Mr. Hermansader presented Mayor Rudy Giuliani with a print of his painting, "Emblem of Strength - New York City" in 2002

COLUMBIA, PA, March 29, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tom Hermansader has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing inspiration from the example of his father, Allen Foster Hermansader, an artist who specialized in portraits and restoration, Tom Hermansader fostered his own love for the arts. After graduating from Louis E. Dieruff High School, he earned a bachelor's and master's degree in art education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, Mr. Hermansader gained valuable expertise in the arts and education in various teaching positions with the Lancaster County Art Association, and as an art teacher for Columbia Junior-Senior High School.

Supported by his educational expertise, Mr. Hermansader presently excels as a prolific painter via Hermansader's Victorian Mansion & Art Gallery. Six decades of painting have yielded high-profile works, including "Emblem of Strength - New York City," which was presented to New York City's Mayor Rudy Giuliani. With the sale of the print, Mr. Hermansader raised more than $20,000 which he donated to the Salvation Army of Lancaster. The original watercolor painting of the Haldeman Mansion was commissioned by the Haldeman Mansion Preservation Society as a fundraiser. Mr. Hermansader gifted $56,000 in proceeds from the sale of his limited edition prints of the Haldeman Mansion to the HMPS. A standout moment in Tom Hermansader's career was his exquisite painting of Lancaster's Penn Square, for which he has received highest accolades.

In conjunction with his work, Mr. Hermansader aligns himself with the Lancaster County Art Association and the Lancaster Sertoma Club. For his professional accomplishments, he received Kutztown University's Rothermel Award, Lancaster Newspaper's Red Rose Award and Columbia's Outstanding Citizenship Award. Additionally, the artist won the Smedley Award through the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County in recognition of his role in preserving significant Lancaster County historic sites and architecture in his paintings. Looking toward the future, Mr. Hermansader aims to continue painting with the Steinman Park in focus, downsize from his Victorian Mansion and lead a simpler life.
