His work and involvement in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in 2002 has long stood as his most notable achievement.
SANTA ANA, CA, March 29, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ramón R. Wong II has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on over four decades of expertise in his field, Mr. Wong specializes in civil and structural engineering. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he pursued an education at Saint Louis University, obtaining a Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 1970, and later joining the Master of Civil Engineering at California State University, Long Beach in 1972. As a commitment to his field, Mr. Wong has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California and as a founding vice president of the Chi Epsilon honor society at California State University, Long Beach, CA. He has also obtained certification as a California structural engineer, a California civil engineer and a licensed pilot, among others.
Mr. Wong began his career as a structural engineer at the Gouvis Engineering Consulting Group Inc. from 1971 until 1974, and at C.F. Braun Engineers between 1974 and 1977. In his capacity as the president of a civil and structural engineering company, Mr. Wong is responsible for operations, personnel and project assignments.
Reflecting on a long career, Mr. Wong attributes much of his success to his Christian faith. His commitment to his field derived from the mentorship of Garry Myers, a former colleague who initially inspired him to pursue his vocational path. While his professional journey has been filled with many memorable moments, his work and involvement in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in 2002 has long stood as his most notable achievement. Looking toward the future, Mr. Wong hopes to retire from his position as the president of ESI/FME Inc.
