In this capacity, she collaborates with judges, the parole and probation departments, and the Michigan Works program. The program assists parolees with jobs, as well as housing, emotional support and more. She also visits a local prison, where she volunteers her time and ministers on behalf of those just entering the system and those currently serving long sentences. A dedicated advocate on behalf of her local community, Ms. Waslawski has also become active with a local single mothers' group, which participates in various charitable events.
