ABILENE, TX, March 31, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Senior Master Sergeant Christopher Parks has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Parks earned an Associate Degree in Fire Science from the Community College of the Air Force and went on to attain certification as a fire officer IV. Following this accomplishment, he served honorably and distinguished himself as a crush fire rescue officer for the U.S. Air Force, through which he served as deputy fire chief on several assignments including the U.S. Air Force Academy, the fire chief on several assignments including March AFB, CA, Nellis AFB, NV and Andrews Air Force Base, MD. During his nine years at Andrews AFB he served in direct support of the President of the United States and Air Force One. He also supported foreign dignitaries, heads of state and VIP visitors to the United States. During his service, he also held the positions of Fire Protection Readiness Chief for the U.S. Air Force Pacific Air Forces, a team member for the Office of the 9th AF Inspector General and the theater Fire Chief for the U.S. Air Force Central Command. Additionally, Mr. Parks maintained involvement as a team leader for the International Accord and a lead inspector for a Federal Emergency Management Agency response team.
In recognition of his work while in the service, Mr. Parks' accomplishments were lauded with a Fire Department of the Year award from the USAF, Military Airlift Command as well as with an Outstanding Unit Award. Likewise, Mr. Parks was recognized as a Distinguished Graduate from the Air Force Noncommissioned Officer Academy, finalist for 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year, and earned Military and Civilian Senior Fire Officer of the Year awards.
Following the conclusion of his service, Mr. Parks began his career in the civilian sector in 2005 as the owner and chief executive officer of LuChris Consulting LLC, where he has continued to excel to the present. He also worked as a Theater Fire Prevention Chief in southern Afghanistan for DynCorp International between 2012 and 2014. Following this period, he became a lead fire safety inspector for Hughes Engineering PLLC in Bangladesh. Mr. Parks subsequently accepted a senior fire protection specialist position for the Federal Emergency Management Agency from 2016 to 2017.
Mr. Parks originally embarked upon his military service with the North Carolina National Guard, which he originally hoped to parlay toward a career in trucking. After developing a passion for the fire services under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force, he resolved to remain active in military service.
