Inspired by her father, a chiropractor, Ms. Lauritsen found herself drawn to massage therapy. While she initially studied clinical psychology at Middle Tennessee State University, she left to pursue a license in massage therapy at the Mind Body Institute. Upon graduating, she was named as a nationally certified massage therapist through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Lauritsen interned for the Tennessee Titans before becoming a licensed massage therapist with the Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Movement.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Lauritsen gained valuable expertise in the field as a massage therapist with Prairie Life Fitness Center, where she worked between 2007 and 2012. Supported by her professional experience, she presently serves as the owner, operator and massage therapist with Therapeutic Hands Massage LLC, a multi-therapist massage studio dedicated to each individual client's health and wellness. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, Ms. Lauritsen aligns herself with the Better Business Bureau and the American Massage Therapy Association.
Alongside her work in the field, Ms. Lauritsen contributes to others as a volunteer educator and mentor with the local chapter of Junior Achievement, as a member of the Spring Hills Chamber of Commerce, and as an on-site massage therapist for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. In light of her outstanding breadth of expertise, she has won the Best Massage Therapy in Spring Hill Award through the local Chamber of Commerce every year since 2017, and was nominated for the Williamson County Sizzle Award in 2022. In the coming years, Ms. Lauritsen aims to expand the scope of her enterprise to a second location.
