Since 2017, Kimberly Ann Ouellette has maintained involvement as a full time lecturer for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Ms. Ouellette earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2003 and was inducted into the Medical Laboratory Science Honor Society upon graduation. She later attained a Master of Education from the same institution in 2021. She is also a certified specialist in blood banking. She began her career as a special service technologist for the Rhode Island Blood Center in 2003 and was later promoted to a reference laboratory supervisor in 2009. In 2013, Ms. Ouellette advanced again to become a compliance officer and, in 2014, began working as a manager for the Lifespan Hospital Group Blood Banks. Since 2017, Ms. Ouellette has maintained involvement as a full time lecturer for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Passionate about teaching, Ms. Ouellette is an expert in immunohematology. She teaches introductory laboratory science, genetics laboratory, chemistry for sophomore students and immunohematology for senior students. She is also responsible for preparing the laboratory and delivering presentations for her lectures. Additionally, to contribute on behalf of her local community, she volunteers with A Wish Come True Inc. Ms. Ouellette also works with a nonprofit group that promotes healthy living, for which she has already written numerous grants.
Ms. Ouellette was inspired to join her field after touring a blood center while attending college, at which she applied for a position. The opportunity to pursue her passion for educating others subsequently became available to her and she changed her focus from her managerial roles in blood banks. Looking toward the future, Ms. Ouellette plans to co-author a book on teaching blood banking alongside her colleague and reach a wider audience.
