OSHKOSH, WI, April 06, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James E. Rabe has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1996, Mr. Rabe gained valuable expertise in the field. Over the years, he honed his skills as a civil engineer in the private sector and as a civil engineering supervisor for the City of Oshkosh. Supported by his considerable experience, Mr. Rabe excels today as the director of public works for the City of Oshkosh, through which he oversees operations in the areas of water utility, wastewater utility, storm water utility, garbage and recycling collection, streets, central garage and engineering.
A licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, Mr. Rabe aligns himself with several organizations, including the American Public Works Association, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance and the Northeast Wisconsin Stormwater Consortium in order to remain aware of ongoing changes in the industry. Alongside his work, Mr. Rabe contributes to those less fortunate through St. Jude Children's Hospital, a local chapter of the United Way and the American Cancer Society while also supporting is alma mater to help further the education of future generations of engineers.
For his outstanding body of work, Mr. Rabe earned the Watershed Hero Award from the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance in 2016, the Excellence in Project Design and Implementation Award through the Wisconsin Association for Floodplain, Stormwater and Coastal Management and the Silver-Level Honor for Innovation and Project Management from the Water Environment Federation. Throughout a career that has been filled with highlights, he is most proud to have begun as a summer intern in the Engineering Division for the City of Oshkosh, where he now serves as a leader in his field. Looking toward the future, Mr. Rabe aims to continue improving workplace culture within his department.
