Supported by years of professional expertise in the field of music education, Dr. Bryant presently excels as an assistant professor, music education program coordinator, and music department assessment coordinator for Tennessee State University. He manages field experiences and student teaching placements, teaches courses in K-12 general music, graduate music studies, conducting, and music appreciation, and oversees assessment and accreditation for the department. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Bryant gained valuable experience in the field as an assistant professor of music at Alabama A&M University, and as a music lecturer and director of instrumental activities for Georgia Southwestern State University.
Between 2005 and 2017, Dr. Bryant honed his knowledge of the profession in directorial and assistant positions with the Albany State University Marching Band, Stockbridge Middle School, Morehouse College's Department of Music and Miller Grove High School. Throughout the course of his career, he has authored works such as "Persevering Through the Pandemic: Tips for Staying Hopeful in Times of Crisis," and performed for President Barack Obama – who was at that point a Senator – with the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church Instrumental Ensemble in Atlanta, Georgia, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. served as pastor. Additionally, Dr. Bryant remains active as a euphoniumist, conductor and clinician.
An expert in his field, Dr. Bryant earned a Bachelor of Science in music education from Florida A&M University, a Master of Music Education from Florida State University, a Master of Education in higher education administration from Georgia Southern University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in curriculum and instruction from Mercer University. He also holds certifications through the Berklee College of Music, Music Teachers National Association, and the Tennessee State Department of Education. In order to remain aware of innovations in the field and better serve his community, Dr. Bryant aligns himself with the honorable societies of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Pi Kappa Lambda, Phi Kappa Phi and Kappa Kappa Psi. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Music Education Association.

He is also listed in such publications as Who's Who Among American College Students and Who's Who in Black Atlanta.
