For over seven years, Dr. Munro has found much success in the field of medicine as an anesthesiologist. Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, she pursued an education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and earned a Bachelor of Science in cellular and molecular biology, with a minor in chemistry, in 2005. She continued her academic efforts at the University of Utah School of Medicine, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine in 2010, and completed her anesthesiology residency, as well as her regional anesthesiology and pain management fellowship, at the University of Florida in 2015. As a commitment to her field, Dr. Munro has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the International Society for the Study of Pain, the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia, the International Anesthesia Research Society and the American Society of Anesthesiologists, among others.
Since 2015, Dr. Munro has worked in private practice as an anesthesiologist at Munro LLC, where she specializes in acute pain management. In this capacity, she travels between hospitals and surgery centers, providing optimal anesthetic care, consultations and educational workshops on regional anesthesia with an emphasis on nerve-block catheter implementation. In her career related endeavors, she has authored multiple chapters in the text "The Anatomical Foundations of Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine: Macroanatomy, Microanatomy, Sonoanatomy and Functional Anatomy," among other reviews and articles in various medical publications. Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Dr. Munro serves as a donor and a volunteer at Planned Parenthood, ACLU and NRDC.

She attributes much of her success to her tenacity as an immigrant from Russia, and to her parents, also doctors who were determined to succeed in the United States. Learning from their example, Dr. Munro felt inspired to pursue her passion for helping others.
Looking toward the future, Dr. Munro aspires to expand the scope of her career by joining more medical committees and increasing her role in advocacy of regional and acute pain management, with a focus on policy making and enhancing standards of care. Dr. Munro is currently completing her mastery of the French language, studying to obtain her private pilot license and working on a small series of children's books she co-authored with her 4-year-old daughter, Lisi. Likewise, she hopes to become the director of a surgical center, through which she can streamline pain management services, improve patient outcomes and foster enhanced patient-surgeon relationships. Outside of her primary vocational circles, Dr. Munro is an accomplished dancer and, having secretly competed throughout the course of her academic efforts in medical school, hopes to gradually rekindle her dedication to the artistic medium.
