Broadening her reach through her podcast, Ms. Barnes, who is best known by her "Model Magic" fans as Tam B, now also offers video/photoshoot services through her business, as well as fashion show production services to help local designers gain more recognition. As a fashion coordinator, she has successfully overseen numerous shows for designers. She even held her own urban wear fashion show in November 2021, titled "Magic in the City KC, a Model Magic Production." Additionally, Ms. Barnes has leveraged her popularity by founding Model Magic LLC Boutique, an online beauty business that includes eyelash wear.
Passionate about helping others, Ms. Barnes looks forward to the growth of her company. Aiming to hire several dedicated staff members to assist her in her professional ventures, she also hopes to begin providing weekly classes for clients and job placement. Finding daily inspiration in her two sons, Ms. Barnes hopes to leave a legacy for them through her work.
Ms. Barnes earned an Associate of Arts in massage therapy from Anthem College in Kansas City and became a licensed massage therapist in 2010. She later obtained an Associate of Arts in nail technician/specialist and manicurist from LaBaron Hairdressing Academy in Overland Park in 2016. To support her career, Ms. Barnes is a professional member of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Ms. Barnes is the former owner and operator of Majestic Touch in Merriam, Kansas between 2016 and 2020, which offered massage therapy and nail services to customers. She previously worked as a licensed massage therapist for Lifetime Fitness in Overland Park, Kansas from 2013 to 2017 and the co-owner and manager of Lutfi's Fried Fish and Chicken in Kansas City from 2009 to 2015. Ms. Barnes' portfolio of acting roles includes a supporting role in the film "Deadlock," playing an extra in "Hanging with the Homies" and a lead role in "Promise Chronicles Manifestation."
As a way to give back, Ms. Barnes has been working on developing A Loving Space Foundation, a non-profit organization. Its main focus is teaching young people about cleaning up the community, budget planning, hygiene & life lessons. Ms. Barnes is also active with Restart Inc., a charitable organization devoted to ending homelessness.
