Taylor R. Fowler was nominated for Teacher of the Year for 2021-2022
COLUMBIA, SC, April 12, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Taylor R. Fowler has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Inspired by his father, who is a professional old-time string band musician and Appalachian storyteller, Mr. Fowler played many different musical instruments throughout his youth. In his formative years, he was recruited into the school band program, wherein he and his band were able to win several awards and competitions, including being a 4-time SA State Champion silver medalist. Mr. Fowler began his career in the field as a Band Director for High Point Academy in 2017, before moving into the position of Assistant Band Director for Eau Claire High School from 2018-2020. Upon the departure of the former Band Director, Mr. Fowler stepped into the head role where he still presently serves.
Drawing on his considerable expertise, Mr. Fowler currently excels with Eau Claire High School as Band Director, chairperson for the fine arts department, production supervisor for the school theatre, and assistant coach of the girls' soccer team. Driven to remain aware of changes in the field, he has been affiliated with the South Carolina Music Educators Association, the National Association for Music Education, and the South Carolina Band Directors Association. Mr. Fowler previously pursued an education at Limestone College (now Limestone University), from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education.
In light of his professional achievements, Mr. Fowler has been honored on many occasions. He was proudly presented with the Employee of the Month award with his high school job at Lowe's Home Improvement, a Most Outstanding Senior Award in his high school band program, a Perfect Attendance Award for the 2020-2021 school year, and was nominated for Teacher of the Year for 2021-2022. In the near future, Mr. Fowler intends to continue growing in his profession and eventually use his talents to run for political office.
