Recognized as a Senior Accountant / CFO for over 20 years, Ms. Leanio has excelled as the founder of Mareevuitton LLC since 2022. In this capacity, she has continued the work as an accountant and business manager but has transitioned her accounting firm into an online mentorship and business management course program.
She specializes in accounting and bookkeeping for client organizations and prides herself on operating her business in a personal and ethical manner, providing her clients with trustworthy services. Well regarded for her professional accomplishments, Ms. Leanio was honored as a Woman Entrepreneur to Watch in 2022.
To prepare for her professional journey, Ms. Leanio studied business administration and accounting at Ohlone College in Fremont. From 1996 to 2000, Marie worked as an accountant and property manager, allowing her to build her first home in Colorado. It wasn't until 2001 that Ms. Leanio returned to California where she served as a senior accountant with Ryder Homes between 2001 and 2007, whereupon she earned a BBA in Accounting and Cosmetology Certification (1991). Following this accomplishment, she accepted a position with Pacific Private Equity Group, where she was responsible for the accounting management of more than 15 organizations. In 2011, Ms. Leanio departed to focus on her work as an independent consultant.
It wasn't until 2015 that she partnered with her daughter, Monique, and launched ID Accounting Advisors and eventually rebranded her business as Mareevuitton LLC in 2022.
To support her local community, Ms. Leanio served on the board of several non-profit organizations. Her volunteer work as a bookkeeper for youth sports organizations and other local nonprofit organizations gave her special insight to the operations and mission statements of each of these organizations. She also serves on the board for several social service initiatives, including the Concord Athletic Association, Clayton Valley High School Athletic Boosters, Diablo Youth Rugby and the Mountain View Parents Faculty Club, among other organizations. She has also worked with the Hayward Zucchini Festival and S. Hayward Lions Club.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Leanio plans to expand her business to produce a myriad of mentorship graduates, which will enable her to focus more on providing courses in financial literacy. She would like to spread her knowledge to as many people as possible.
Ms. Leanio attributes her success to the successes of her long standing clientele, a list that includes various businesses which are leaders in their respective industries. Her business philosophy offers a different approach to the way her clients approach their businesses. As Ms. Leanio states, "When we begin our journey into entrepreneurship, we are often thinking of our businesses but we need to look at ourselves as a whole. With all the new avenues we have to promote ourselves, our businesses and our beliefs, we need to consciously think of ourselves more as a brand. People want to know who they are in business with and where they are spending their hard earned dollars. This is why transparency, honesty and work ethic come into play. I have always tried to separate my personal and professional lives but we are now in a time where all of it matters. Most people think that in order to win, someone must lose but that is only true in sports. In reality, we can all win when we operate at a higher level, with hard work, dedication, morals and transparency."
