Mr. Genardo's son Scott was the driving factor to continue his education and although he intended to become a special education teacher, he developed a fascination for psychology, particularly schizophrenia. After earning a Bachelor of Science in psychology at the University of Phoenix, he continued his education, earning a Master of Science at Medaille College in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Genardo has since become a board-certified and licensed clinical mental health counselor, and has attained certification in treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attention deficit hyper disorder and personality disorders.
To support his career, Mr. Gerardo is a member of the American Counseling Association. He is also affiliated with the National Society of Leadership and Success. Highlighting his achievements, Mr. Genardo has been the recipient of several honors, including a Bainbridge Community Award for his work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
