Having led a multifaceted career in a variety of fields, including retail, culinary service, education and social work, Ms. Bradley presently serves as a senior human services specialist for the South Carolina Department of Social Services, a position she has held since 2004. In this capacity, she has accrued a wealth of expertise in child protective service protocols, community service, mental health evaluation and documentation management, as well as conflict resolution. In addition to working in community outreach for youth and family services in Eastover, South Carolina, from 2015 to 2016, she expanded upon her career as a case manager and support specialist for the Aiken/Barnwell Community Action Agency, a community services organization, from 2013 to 2014. Furthermore, Ms. Bradley worked for the Department of Social Services in Allendale County as a senior human services specialist between 2001 and 2005 and in economics service from 1988 to 2001.
Outside of her primary vocation, Ms. Bradley cultivated a longstanding desire to become a chef, having cooked meals for her family since her early childhood. Realizing this desire, she served as a preparation cook at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where she worked at Teriyaki Experience from 2018 to 2019 and Leeann Chin between 2019 and 2020. Additionally, she maintained involvement in the retail sector as a sales associate for Ross Dress for Less in Anderson, South Carolina, in 2018 and as a sales representative for Banker Life and Casualty in Columbia, South Carolina, from 2006 to 2007. Ms. Bradley has also been active as an educator, having held the roles of a substitute teacher and tutor with the Allendale County School District from 2013 to 2014 and as a teacher's assistant between 2007 and 2008.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Bradley studied early childhood education at the University of South Carolina, from which she earned an associate degree in 1981. Continuing her academic efforts, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in disciplinary studies in 1987, having attained recognition on the National Dean List the previous year. Following her turn toward a career in the restaurant industry, Ms. Bradley graduated as her class valedictorian from a culinary arts school in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2018, where she was formally inducted into a culinary arts honor society during the same year.
Ms. Bradley initially became involved in her profession out of a deep and abiding love for children, which led her to pursue a career in social work. In accounting for her success in this field, she credits her empathetic nature, which has allowed her to interact well with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Looking toward the future, Ms. Bradley hopes to work in foster care and pair children with families that are right for them.
