Looking toward the future, Dana L. Silkiss plans to serve as the creative director of a TV series adaptation of his book, "Midnite's Journey."

A former proprietor of two 50-acre farms in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, Mr. Silkiss currently owns LCD Manufacturing Inc., as well as Midnite Entertainment, LLC.
Additionally, he performs contract negotiations as a liaison on behalf of landowners and gas and oil companies. With a wealth of business experience to his credit, Mr. Silkiss owned several other companies throughout the course of his career, including Penn Belt Manufacturing and two retail stores in Long Island, NY, Uniforms of Distinction and Rad Rags, for which he created displays for Polo, Ralph Lauren, Timberland and Macy's.
Mr. Silkiss was originally inspired to establish his own business by his father, himself an entrepreneur who was the founder of Permanent Press Clothing by formulating the chemical glyoxal, widely used in the textile and paper industries.
Exposed to entrepreneurship at a young age, he embarked on his own journey while he was on tour as a musician, during which time he ordered custom T-shirts and jackets for the stage crew and found himself dissatisfied with inefficient deliveries and management. He decided to manage the process himself, and in a short amount of time, other musicians came to him for the same services. BMG Records recognized his talent and ordered thousands of branded clothing from him. Following the progressive growth of his new venture, Mr. Silkiss continued to develop his expertise in the field.
To give back to his community, Mr. Silkiss has served as a school tutor for first through sixth grade students. Exercising his creativity, he is also a skilled drummer and percussionist, and provides free lessons to students who cannot otherwise afford them. He also worked with children with cognitive behavior disorders, utilizing horses as a means to unlock their personalities.
In recognition of his contributions to activism against hatred and intolerance in America, he was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Southern Poverty Law Center. His volunteer work emphasizes the value of individuals using the challenges they have faced in life as an inspiration and motivation to become stronger, rather than succumb to them. Mr. Silkiss has also authored "Midnite's Journey: One Man's Improbable Journey Through America's Reality," which was published in 2020, and its sequel "Midnite's Journey II, The Aftermath."
