In recognition for her dedication to the field, Sheri R. Hammock was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing in 2016.

Mrs. Hammock earned a diploma in nursing from the Danville Regional Medical Center School of Health Professions in 2000 and went on to attain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2006. In 2016, she earned a Master of Science in Nursing and Post Master's certificate as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certified in Adult Gerontology from Walden University. In January2017, she passed the American Association of Critical Care Nurses advanced practice exam.
Mrs. Hammock began her career as a clinical associate in the Critical Care Unit at Danville Regional Medical Center. In October of 2000 she started working as a Registered Nurse in the CCU. She was then promoted to clinical coordinator. Mrs. Hammock continued to advance in her leadership roles from clinical manager in2009 and then promoted to the Director of critical care and progressive care units in 2011. She subsequently returned to the bedside and began working as a registered nurse at Cone Health in 2015, in the CCU at Annie Penn and working as a House Supervisor. Beginning in 2017, Mrs. Hammock started working as an acute care nurse practitioner in adult gerontology for Cardiology Consultants of Danville. In these roles, she is responsible for providing care on behalf of cardiac patients, with acute and chronic health conditions. She continues to see patients in the hospital and clinic setting.
In recognition for her dedication to the field, Mrs. Hammock was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing in 2016. She has also maintained a membership in the American Association of Critical Care Nurses since 2000. She credits her success to the support she receives from her family, who have supported her throughout the course of her career. Looking toward the future, Mrs. Hammock plans to advance her career looking towards electrophysiology and device management.
