Prior to his success with MedShorts, Mr. Powers was a Partner at B3 Precision Medical Technologies, provided start-up consulting services, and served as the Chief Operating Officer for a national infusion & compounding pharmacy, Home Care Solutions.
A dedicated community advocate, Mr. Powers is passionate about supporting the Children's Home Society of Florida, which fosters over 3,000 children throughout the community of Central Florida. He has also supported other charitable organizations such as Make-A-Wish Foundation and Doctors Without Borders.
Mr. Powers received a Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Florida State University in 2007. He was President of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization at the College of Business, and the finalist for Writer of the Year at the University. Subsequently, he attended the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, where he earned a Master of Business Administration in 2011.
In 2020, Mr. Powers was notably featured in MedCity News in an article titled "Best Practices of Managing Short-Dated Inventory." The following year he was highlighted on Worldwide Business with Kathy Ireland. Among his accolades, Mr. Powers was the recipient of an Innovative Tech Award, several sustainability designations, and MedShorts was acknowledged as one of the top 10 supply chain companies of the year.
