After her divorce she obtained General contractor and Roofing contractor license and started her own business, Saratoga Construction & Roofing until 1999. After close of her business se prospered for 7 years as a financial analyst with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), an organization associated with the information technology company Hewlett-Packard that involves servers, storage, networking, containerization software, consulting and support.
In 2015, Ms. Tavakol founded ICS Restoration, a premier furniture construction and rehabilitation company located in Suisun City, California. She takes a practical approach with ICS and fulfills her duties by meeting with customers, preparing estimates, overseeing processes, and managing product delivery. While coming of age in Iran, Ms. Tavakol's parents' hobby was collecting antiques. Her father (General Tavakol) enjoyed restoring and caring for collected pieces, and she enjoyed assisting her father in the restoration and repair of antiques. After her immigration to the United States and managing Saratoga Construction & Roofing, and leaving Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Ms. Tavakol decided to pursue her passion for hands-on work with restoration of furniture.
Ms. Tavakol attributes her success to the teaching and encouragement of her parents. She cites her business success with Saratoga Construction & Roofing, HPE and founding ICS Restoration as an immigrant single mother as career highlights.
