Named as the president of the nonprofit organization in 2019 after two years as the vice president, he has been instrumental in substantially increasing funding. In 2021, Mr. Beck helped raise $520,000, which was disbursed to 520 students in the form of $1,000 scholarships through its Louis F. Ruiz Scholarship Program. The organization also distributed almost $100,000 in grants to teachers throughout California, Texas and South Carolina last year alone. Since its founding, Ruiz 4 Kids has awarded over $4 million in scholarships to high school students.
Working diligently to continue growing the company's nonprofit organization, Mr. Beck looks forward to receiving additional support from sponsors at its upcoming special convention at the Louis F. Ruiz Golf Invitational in September 2022. Although the event did not take place during the pandemic, it previously raised $600,000 at its 2019 tournament.
Mr. Beck previously worked as an analyst for Nielson Holdings Inc. in San Francisco in 2015 after completing an internship for the measurement and data analytics company between 2014 and 2015. He also worked for Target and ESPN Radio prior to graduating from college.
An alumnus of California State University in Fresno, California, Mr. Beck received a Bachelor of Science in business administration and marketing in 2014. He later completed the Business Insights: Black Belt Level 1 certification through Delta Associates Inc. in 2020. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Beck also completed a finance internship and marketing internship at Ruiz Foods between 2012 and 2013. Highlighting his achievements, he was previously named as the Employee of the Quarter by Nielsen Holdings Inc.
