SEDONA, AZ, April 29, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Guy Grand has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Grand started his first business, Grand Ole Chimney Sweeps, at the age of 21, in Chico, California. He subsequently began his career as the executive director of the Day One Foundation, where he remained between 1992 and 2000. During this period, Mr. Grand also worked as a producer and production manager for large-scale benefit concerts within the music industry.
In 2002, Mr. Grand began a career as a catastrophic insurance adjuster working for several of the largest insurance companies, a capacity in which he traveled throughout the United States to help people with insurance claims after large-scale catastrophe events. Likewise, he served as the president of First Contact Inc., a tech based company helping organize the large volume of claims after catastrophe events.
In 2011, drawing inspiration from listening to a broadcast of National Public Radio, which addressed the unemployment rates for veterans coming home from overseas, Mr. Grand established a school to help veterans find work via catastrophic insurance adjusting.
Veteran Adjusting School is licensed by the Post Secondary Board of Education in Arizona and is presently the only vocational school of its kind recognized by the VA to accept GI Bill® benefits. As the director of the school, Mr. Grand provides a six-week intensive course to veterans and non-veterans that allows them to become proficient in all aspects of identifying damages, writing estimates, and liaising with insured clients.
In a career filled with highlights, Mr. Grand is proud to have founded Veteran Adjusting School, and to have been recognized for the work that they do. Additionally, he is most grateful to have changed the lives of others – not only for his graduates, but for their families as well. Looking toward the future, Mr. Grand aims to make Veteran Adjusting School a legacy school, which will help people long after he retires.
