She then transitioned to private practice and began her teaching career in 2003 at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Hulbert is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and board certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
After many years of teaching medical students and Family Medicine residents, Dr. Hulbert returned to her love of rural medicine when she joined ThedaCare in 2020. She excels in her present role where she conducts hospital patient rounds, provides obstetric and pediatric care and delivers comprehensive outpatient clinic services.
As part of her dedication to her field, Dr. Hulbert is affiliated with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. She was initially inspired to pursue medicine by her mother, who was a nurse and Air Force officer. Having grown up alongside medicine in this way, she witnessed the positive impact healthcare providers have on patients and wanted to contribute to that field. Having seen people struggle with mental health and addiction with limited access to specialists and other medical resources in a rural setting, Dr. Hulbert's practice offers treatment options and connects people to the best possible care.
